Cardboard block reviews, galleries and buying guide.

About CardboardBlocks.com

It all started with a birthday party for our three year old son.   Instead of renting out a kiddie gym or activity center, we thought why not let the kids build (and wreck) their own giant buildings and castles.   We wanted to buy a few sets so there would be plenty of blocks to go around, but weren't sure which ones would be best.

We ordered several different sets, put everything together and started playing around with different combinations.    We were having a lot of fun and ordered a few more sets and really started to compare everything - which sets had the best combination of blocks and which ones were the easiest to put together.  We then unleashed our two sons and a few of their friends and watched which sets they enjoyed the most.

In the end, we settled on a combination of two different types of sets (the Melissa and Doug castle blocks and their mixed jumbo blocks).    The party was a hit and our kids still love playing with their 'giant blocks'!

Since I develop web sites for a living, I created CardboardBlocks.com to help share my reviews and provide a starting point for parents who are interested in buying these really cool toys.
